PReye™ Lash in Wheat Ridge, CO

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) for Eyelash Enhancement!

THE ONLY EYELASH ENHANCER WITH HEALTH BENEFITS FOR YOUR EYES

Developed by female Ophthalmologist, Melinda C. O’Rourke, MD

PReye Lash is an exciting new treatment to enhance eyelashes, developed by Melinda C. O’Rourke, MD, board-certified Ophthalmologist, exclusively at Essence Laser & Wellness. PReye Lash drops are made from one’s own PRP (platelet-rich plasma) using a proprietary formula that benefits eye health and protects the ocular surface. Eye drops have been shown to reach eyelash hair follicles, and PRP scalp injections are used to enhance hair growth by strengthening hair follicles, though PRP eye drops have never been used specifically for eyelash enhancement until now. To our knowledge, Essence is the only practice worldwide using PRP eye drops for this purpose.

Dr. O’Rourke has created PReye Lash by adding an infusion of other components beneficial to eye health to PRP. Not only does it promote eyelash growth and thickness, but it also protects the ocular surface, reduces inflammation, and promotes healing in dry eyes, allergies, and other inflammatory conditions. Beautiful Lashes you can feel good about!

Only 11 cc of blood is needed to prepare PRP eye drops, obtained via a routine blood draw. For a smooth blood draw and optimal volume, hydrate with 8 glasses of water the day prior, and 2 glasses of water 30 minutes prior, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to the blood draw. The blood sample is processed to produce PReye Lash then packaged in sterile eye dropper bottles. There are many PRP technologies on the market with varying degrees of purity and potency. At Essence Laser, we use the top PRP technology to achieve the highest purity and concentration of platelets, creating a superior product in PReye Lash.

The recommended dosage is 1 drop in each eye 2 times daily, but it can be used as much as is necessary. It’s a product of one’s own healing factors, so it is not possible to use too much. Each draw should provide about 6 months of drops using it twice daily.

  • Place all bottles in the freezer, except one bottle in the refrigerator for current use.

  • The bottle in the refrigerator can be kept up to 4 weeks, but must be discarded after that.

  • Defrost the tears by refrigerating them for a day. DO NOT MICROWAVE.

  • Write the expiration date on the bottle, which is 4 weeks after removal from the freezer.

  • The bottles can be kept frozen for up to 6 months.

  • Gently shake the bottle before instilling drops.

  • NEVER share PReye Lash with anyone.

  • If you are using other medicated drops, wait 10 minutes between drops.

  • If you wear contact lenses, instill PRP drops before and after contact lens wear.

  • If you experience pain, irritation, blurry vision, redness, or any other adverse symptoms, please call your eye doctor immediately.

The cost is $400 per blood draw. This will provide about a 6-month supply when using the drops twice daily with the recommended technique.

The drop acts on the root of the follicle, so as the lash grows out, it will take about 2 months to see stronger, longer, and thicker lashes. If the drops are discontinued, it will take about 2 months for the effect to wear off.

PReye Lash is a product of your own blood’s best components, so when used as directed, there are no contraindications. Unlike other lash enhancers, PReye Lash does not affect pigmentation, so there is no risk of under-eye pigmentation or iris color change.

Under the supervision of Melinda C. O’Rourke, MD, Essence Laser and Wellness is a referral center for specialty dry eye therapy and a medical aesthetics practice, not a routine ophthalmology practice. We ask that you provide a copy of a recent eye exam prior to treatment when seeking IPL for dry eye and/or the PReye™ shot. No exam is necessary for PReye™ drops or PRP for aesthetic purposes.
