Double Defense Against Atmospheric Aging

Combine an antioxidant vitamin C + sunscreen

What is atmospheric skin aging?

Our skin is constantly in contact with silent agers caused by sun and pollution, which poses a threat to healthy skin. The sun’s rays are the primary cause of atmospheric aging with UVA and UVB being the most damaging. Free radicals are induced by UVA, which can lead to collagen breakdown and discolorations. Pollution ie: car exhaust, cleaning products, industrial pollutants and harmful matter can cause further breakdown within the skin. Over time, pollution and sun exposure can lead to damage that manifests visibly as: fine lines, wrinkles, sagging and discoloration.

Double defense-

It is very important to pair an antioxidant with a sunscreen to combat atmospheric aging. SkinCeuticalsantioxidants and sunscreens have been proven to help prevent and protect skin from damage caused by atmospheric aggressors. Sunscreen is not enough to protect against harmful rays and pollutants, so pairing a stable antioxidant like C&E Ferulic or Phloretin CF with sunscreen will neutralize free radicals and improve signs of aging.
